365 Poems in 365 Days: Mystery Family Members

Lacey Lee, would it really be so hard
To send your mother a note or card?
We read in the paper you found a body charred
That turned out to be drowned in a vat of lard.
As a young lady, please, please be on guard
These reporters have a reputation that s worse than bards.
I hope this is a warning you won’t disregard
As you trip in and out the gates of New Scotland Yard
Your mother, Adora Lee
PS Sorry to so soon bombard
you with letters, but Jenny is engaged to M Renard

Lacey Lee's mother worries about her. Lacey Lee is bad at staying in contact when she's on a case and she's always on a case. I have added a Lacey Lee label to the blog. This is poem number 192.
